Her research focuses on cultural history and the challenges of oral history. She is interested in the history of everyday life, women's history, the history of work (with a particular focus on women's work), family history, and biography. She is particularly interested in the intersection of memory studies, border studies, gender studies, and transnational history.

At the Institute of Cultural History ZRC SAZU, she participates in the research programme “The (New) Cultural History of Intellectual Heritage. Slovenian Historical Space in Its European Context.” She is involved in the project of writing The New Slovenian Biographical Lexicon (NSBL), where she has participated as an author, editor and member of the editorial board, and since 2022 as editor-in-chief.

she graduated in History (major) and Philosophy (minor) at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, with the thesis Ženske, delo in družina – filozofski in zgodovinski vidiki (služkinje, “dikle”, hišne pomočnice)    

2011
received her PhD in History with the dissertation Hišne pomočnice – žensko delo v mreži narodnih in socialnih odnosov na Goriškem v 19. in 20. stoletju.
